Downloading and Installing the Applications
(K)Ubuntu (≥20.04)
The applications are provided as a single package for (K)Ubuntu. This uses the Apptainer platform to provide compatibility with newer distributions. To install Apptainer, you will need to add its official PPA to your list of package repositories:
$ sudo add-apt-repository -y ppa:apptainer/ppa

This is exactly the same image as for (K)Ubuntu, except it is not packaged for automatic installation by the package manager (apt, rpm, etc.) Copy the image to /var/lib/apptainer and the scripts somewhere in your PATH, such as /usr/bin.

Packages for for older versions of (K)Ubuntu, openSUSE and Fedora can be downloaded here. For other GNU/Linux distributions, you will need to download the sources and follow the step-by-step instructions provided here to build the code.
